a collaborator on a project
a speaker to spur new thinking
a producer for thought leadership events and/or content
a research, strategy, and/or design consultant
a world-class innovation team
Members learns from and drives cultural change in positive ways. We provide opportunities and resources to help.
Our network includes students, professionals, and active retirees who collaborate across industries and disciplines. Current members are encouraged to invite people who would contribute to and benefit from our community. Recruiters and literary agents are invited to engage fellow members who've indicated their interest in relevant opportunities.
Mindshare is thanksculture's online platform to help members share their work, learn from each other, and collaborate alongside formal projects and gigs.
Here's how it works.
Notifications: From your photo thumbnail on the upper right, select settings and indicate the type of notification emails you want to receive. Members can interact with the platform relatively infrequently, with a focus on only specific topics and/or posts, or more regularly to actively develop their thought leadership and share knowledge with other members.
Following: Members can follow each other as well as specific posts and topics.
Direct communication: Members can share posts and comments with each other directly by including @ before usernames.
Commenting: Members are encouraged to comment on posts, especially those that align with their particular areas of expertise/thought leadership, with ideas/content, links, suggestions, and substantive feedback.
Categories: Mindshare content is available through the following categories.
General Guidance: Discuss resources as well as methodical, theoretical, and ethical issues as you think and work through potential projects and gigs.
Quals & Projects: Share non-proprietary content related to your work with the network and gain insight from projects by fellow members.
Provocations (Members): Share and discuss posts that provoke inspiration among fellow members.
Provocations (Public): Share and discuss posts that provoke inspiration among fellow members and are intended to be viewed by non-members as well as members.
Virtual Panel Discussions: View and participate in online discussions with fellow members through posts (video, still imagery, text, links, etc). These may happen spontaneously, such as with a provocation post, or be planned in advance, such as to enhance an in-person event/meetup or spark a conversation among network members with expertise in particular areas. Invite panelists to discussions with the @ symbol if they are already members or invite people to join our network to participate.
Social Media Syndication: Post original content/links for network members to help disseminate through their social media.
Events & Conferences: Post events, such as meetups and summits, that are relevant to the interests of thankculture's members (applied research, culture, innovation, design, technology, the arts and sciences, etc).
Thought Leadership Production: Please reach out at info@thankculture.com for complimentary production support to help share your work and expertise with the general public or internally with thankculture members through Mindshare.
Gig & Project Staffing & Management: thankculture will contact members as project opportunities arise to gauge interest, rates, availability, and overall fit. Before staffing a project, we consult with members from the hiring organization about their needs and constraints. We may also contact members leading up to pitches and proposals. Consultants, advisors, and/or speakers are hired as needed throughout scoping, planning, execution, and afterwork phases. thankculture will oversee various issues that can arise with enterprise-friendly open innovation, such as managing interdisciplinary collaborations, avoiding conflicts of interest, and processing nondisclosure agreements. Members are free to work through other consultancies, speakers bureaus, and expert networks on engagements that have not been initiated by thankculture.
Sales Commissions & Discounts: Members receive 15% discounts or sales commissions on all thankculture projects they are directly involved in. Discounts are applied to invoices to client organizations following the completion of projects with acknowledgements to any thankculture members from the organization who were involved in the work. These commissions are limited to members involved in a referral leading to the sale of a specific or immediate (within 60 days) project to an organization that does not employ them. We provide sale commissions in the form of checks and commissions are split as specified by recipients or clients in cases when more than one member has been involved in a sale.
Member Referral Commissions: We provide 10% referral commissions to those members who've invited new members to our network who go on to hire thankculture more than 60 days after joining. This commission applies to initial/first projects and this incentive does not expire. Members receiving 10% commissions are not involved in referrals regarding specific projects or projects that are sold within 60 days of the client joining thankculture. In these cases, sales commissions apply. Referral commissions are limited to members who were the first to invite clients to thankculture in cases when clients were invited by multiple people.
Creating Portfolios: We encourage our members to share as much of their work directly through Mindshare as possible because it allows posters' profiles to function as project and thought leadership portfolios. If your work has been posted by thankculture or someone else, such as for a provocation, please feel free to re-post it yourself. We will archive duplicate posts and direct users to yours. We are working on allowing members to choose which posts are public, member-only, or subscription. In the meantime, please email info@thankculture.com if you need us to allow access to a non-member or expedite the approval process for a new member who needs to review your projects and thought leadership.
Direct Hiring, Subscription Content, & Other Upcoming Features: We are conceptualizing the next version of Mindshare and value feedback from our early adopters. Please share any input or questions through email at info@thankculture.com.
